Tuesday 30
August
The weather
had not abated. Despite thinking we could manage a visit to the salmon
hatchery, we arrived and it was closed. So we headed back to town for coffee
and a visit to the local supermarket. It’s always interesting checking out
local shops.
Who needs a mower when such an attractive visitors comes to eat the grass
Many different spices (also to the left and right)
The salt you have when you don't want (and I suppose, can't have) salt!!!!
No pink marshmallows!
Along with honey - many varieties of maple syrup - of course!
As the
weather got worse, we returned to our B&B and relaxed for the rest of the
day.
Having had such a terrific dinner on our first night in Ucluelet, we decided to return to the Black Rock resort restaurant. Unfortunately a bus group had arrived (poor old souls from the UK would have had a very wet day touring!). So, once again, it was very lucky we eat early as the place was almost full when we arrived.
